Overview:

The Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) is a postgraduate program that provides in-depth knowledge of the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries. The course is designed to develop managerial, operational, and entrepreneurial skills required to plan, manage, and promote tourism services at national and international levels.

The curriculum typically includes tourism management, travel operations, hospitality management, destination planning, tourism marketing, event management, sustainable tourism, customer relationship management, and tourism policies. Students also gain practical exposure through internships, industry projects, field visits, and research activities.

Graduates of the MTTM program are prepared for careers in travel agencies, tour operations, airlines, hotels, tourism boards, event management companies, cruise lines, and destination management organizations. The program also provides a strong foundation for entrepreneurship, research, and leadership roles in the tourism and hospitality sector.

Eligibility Requirements for Admission:

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) program, candidates generally must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Meet the minimum qualifying marks specified by the respective university or institution (commonly 50%–55% aggregate, with relaxation for reserved categories as per government regulations).
  • Qualify in the relevant entrance examination, if required by the university or admission authority.
  • Satisfy any additional eligibility criteria, such as document verification or an interview, as prescribed by the admitting institution.
  • Candidates with a background or work experience in tourism, hospitality, or related fields may be given preference by some institutions.

Course Duration:

The 5-Year Integrated Engineering Course is completed over five academic years, divided into ten semesters. The curriculum combines undergraduate and postgraduate studies into a single, continuous program. It includes classroom instruction, laboratory work, workshops, internships, industrial training, project work, and research activities. Upon successful completion of all academic and program requirements, students are awarded integrated undergraduate and postgraduate engineering degrees as prescribed by the respective university or institution.

The course fee for the Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) varies depending on the institution, its location, and whether it is a government or private college.:
  • Government Colleges: 15,000/- to ,85,000/- Per Year
  • Private Colleges: 1,35,000/- to 3,75, 000/- Per Year
  • Deemed University & Premium Institutions: 1,55,000/- to 5,50,000/- Per Year
